“The Spiker” is the easy way to drive 3/8” steel spikes into ties with perfect alignment to the foot of the rail. The spikes are held in the spike guides magnetically. The Spiker straddles 3/8” G scale ties and when placed against the foot of the rail, a couple taps with a small hammer and the spikes are seated on the foot. The spikes are driven in at a 5-degree angle to ensure the spikes do not pop out the side of the ties and it was designed to use the Micro Engineering 3/8” spikes. “The Spiker” can be used with wooden or SwitchCrafters composite ties. (NOT intended for use with tie plates)
